A Philippine development group built around care, dignity, place, and opportunity.

Who We Are

The unifying identity behind every platform in the Amare portfolio.

Amare Initiatives Inc. is a care-centered development platform, unifying its subsidiaries through a shared commitment to wellness, dignified livelihoods, purposeful land use, and human-centered social value. Its identity is anchored not merely in asset ownership or project development, but in the creation of places, programs, and enterprises that enable people and communities to live with greater health, security, and dignity.

Amare serves three roles at once — capital allocation, brand governance, and community development — with capital stewardship as its structural function, community development as its core purpose, and brand governance as its unifying discipline across the wellness and livelihood portfolio.

Chairperson’s Message

A personal word from our Chairperson on why Amare Initiatives exists.

Amare Initiatives began with a simple conviction: that home, health, and dignity should never be out of reach for anyone.

I know this because I have lived the alternative. There was a period in my life without a stable home of my own, and without the good health I now protect so fiercely. It was one of the hardest chapters I’ve lived through — full of doubt, uncertainty, and nights spent wondering if things would ever change. But it also gave me a clarity I carry into everything we build today: comfort and wellbeing aren’t amenities to be added later. They are foundations, and every person deserves the chance to stand on solid ones.

I didn’t find my way through that chapter alone. My family held me up when I couldn’t hold myself up. And the business partners who joined me along the way became something more than colleagues — they became family I chose, and who chose me back, especially on the hardest days. Amare Initiatives exists because of them as much as because of me.

Today, that shared journey takes shape across active senior living communities, homes for families, and wellness centers. These are not just projects on paper to us. Behind every design decision is the memory of what it felt like to lack a home, and the determination to make sure the people we serve never have to feel that. Every space we build is guided by one question: does this help someone live with more health, comfort, and dignity than they had before?

This is only the beginning. What we once needed most, we now have the privilege of building for others — one home, one community, one life at a time.

So I leave you with the question that started all of this: what becomes possible when home, health, and dignity are no longer things you have to fight for?

With gratitude for everyone who walked this road with me,

J Mercado
